Brickwork
The exterior brickwork on your property is the most visible aspect. but it is not always easy to notice when you should have it repointed or replaced. The thing to note is that repointing your masonry may seem like it may just be addressing an aesthetic issue, however a lot of people may not fully understand that when the mortar starts to fail on your property it may also cause fundamental and structural damage.
At the first sign of any of these issues it is critical to begin thinking about replacing or repairing the mortar to avoid further damage to your structure and to avoid expensive unnecessary repairs in the future,
Brick Pointing Process
Our process of repointing bricks includes matching the mortar to the existing mortar in the property. While matching the color of the mortar seems like it might be the most basic component, it is important to understand the attention to detail needed when it comes to doing it properly. It is not so simple as to just match the color, however the physical properties of the mortar itself must be matched which includes the hardness of the mortar, texture and permeability. First we grind out the existing damaged mortar to approximately half an inch, power-wash the bricks, and then install new mortar.

When done property brick pointing will last at least 50 years, depending on environmental conditions. With that being said we fully stand by the quality of our work and guarantee any job that we do.
